Bacteria which cause periodontal disease can be inhaled by tiny droplets into the lungs and multiply to cause these respiratory issues.
5. Keep your brain active
A recent study found that periodontal disease can increase the risk of Dementia and Alzheimer ?s disease! Keeping your mouth clean and lowering amount of bacteria in the mouth can help lower the risk of these brain diseases.
